NOVEMBER 28TH NOV 28TH - CCA Holly Day Market - CCA has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Holly Day Market. Although we were prepared to have protocols in place to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, vendors as well as shoppers and our volunteers, the COVID infection rate continues to rise every week here in Virginia as well as in many other states. In light of the latest state mandated protocols, this is the best public safety decision as well as the most socially responsible one. We live in a vibrant community and country, each one of us has so much to offer. Let’s work together to stop the spread of the virus by limiting social contacts and wearing masks. We look forward to better times when CCA can host our events safely. 11/19

DECEMBER 5TH

After much consideration, the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel this year’s Chincoteague Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 5th. With the new state guidelines limiting all public and private in-person gatherings to 25 individuals and with the safety of our participants, essential workers, volunteers, and staff as our highest priority, this is the best public safety decision. Even a drive-thru parade would have its risks. We know this is another disappointment, but we are already working on some other special happenings because this is still a Season of Thankfulness and we still have so much to be thankful for. 11/17

EVENT: 41st Annual Chincoteague Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade

Visit beautiful Chincoteague Island and celebrate an annual Christmas tradition – the Chincoteague Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade!

There will be some changes to the parade this year due to continued social distancing guidelines. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

The parade begins at a new time this year – 6:00 p.m. and the parade route has been extended! The parade will begin at the intersection of Main Street and Maddox Boulevard, head down Main Street and end at Bunting Road.

Attendees are asked to spread out across the parade route for safety to see enchanting floats, bands, marching units, decorated boats, fire companies from across the Eastern Shore, equestrian teams, classic cars, and more.

The parking lot on the waterfront across from the Carnival Grounds will be open for parking. Keep an eye out for Santa too!

Entries WILL NOT stop at the Judge’s Stand to perform. Face masks/coverings are strongly encouraged.

The Chincoteague Police Department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for their Annual Toy Run during the parade. Please consider making a donation and help put smiles on the faces of less-fortunate children this holiday season.

Watch the parade from the comfort of your home, as it will also live stream on the Chamber Facebook page

There will be no awards ceremony, visits with Santa or refreshments provided after the parade. Awards will be given and pick up arrangements will be made when winners are notified.
